The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Žitenice is a notable early Baroque sacred building near the local castle, located in the town of Žitenice within the Ústecký kraj region. Established around 1650 and consecrated in 1680, it has been recognized as a cultural monument since 1964 due to its historical and architectural significance. The church features a longitudinal single-nave design with a semi-circular apse and an adjacent Gothic tower dating back to approximately 1300.

The origins of the Church trace back to the 12th century, with the first mention recorded in that period. However, the current structure was built around 1650 during a time when Bohemia, part of the Habsburg Monarchy, experienced significant religious and political shifts following the Thirty Years' War. The Baroque style, flourishing across Europe as a response to the Protestant Reformation, is evident in its grandeur and detailed architectural elements.

Architecturally, the church has several notable phases. Its Gothic tower, originally constructed around 1300, was heightened in 1853 and modified further in the mid-19th century. The church boasts a longitudinal single-nave structure with a semi-circular apse and is adorned with a Gothic tower on its northern side, alongside a sacristy. The southern side features a porch, while the western façade displays volute gables and tiered windows with rectangular lower sections and semi-circular upper ones. The interior includes a vaulted ceiling with lunettes and bands, engaged pillars with pilasters, and chancel cross-ribbed vaulting. Comprehensive restoration took place between 1986 and 1990, with additional work on the tower completed in 2005.

The church's interior is richly decorated with Baroque altars and frescoes. Its main altar features a new title painting within its original frame, accompanied by gilded statues of Saints Florian and Leopold. The church also houses three side altars, each with portico designs and simple pilaster niches displaying various title paintings, including an 18th-century Baroque image of Saint Anne, an image of the Virgin Mary with Child, and a painting from 1869 by Prof. Franz Krause. Several artworks were transferred from the nearby castle, such as a late Baroque image of Saint Anne with the Virgin Mary and Joachim, a saint holding a branch, sword, and chalice, and The Last Supper. Other notable artworks include a Baroque image of Saint Aloysius in a carved gilded frame and Christ Blessing the Wine from 1894. The church also contains a Baroque wooden relief of Saint John Nepomuk refusing a bribe and an early 18th-century pulpit adorned with carved additions and oval paintings of four evangelists and Saint Joseph. The baptismal font is made from sandstone with a profiled base and a carved wooden lid, featuring a pewter basin dated 1700.

Near the church stands čp. 29 fara, a Baroque parsonage built around 1654. This two-story building features a statue of Saint Joseph above its entrance. Inside are two rooms with timbered ceilings, some parts of which are painted. A commemorative plaque honors Canon Dr. František Jakub Jindřich Kreibicha, a notable cartographer and meteorologist.
