In the late 19th century, part of the gardens was repurposed for constructing a new stone Mlýnská kolonáda between 1871 and 1881.

A key event in the park's history occurred in 1834 with the erection of the Duke's Column. This monument serves as a tribute to Duke Adolf of Cambridge and Duchess Augusta of Hesse-Kassel, commemorating their visit to Karlovy Vary. The column stands on a terraced area at the remnants of Bernardova skála, featuring an inscription dedicated to the ducal couple.
