Andělka is a historical monument located in Prague's Střešovice district, specifically between Sibeliova, Pod Andělkou, and Ve Střešovičkách streets. Originally established as a farmstead in the 17th century, it gained prominence due to its chapel dedicated to the Holy Angels, founded by Gabriel Strahovský opat in 1756. The estate played a significant role during the Prussian-French siege of Prague from 1742-1744 when it was used as a military battery site. Over time, Andělka transitioned from a religious and agricultural hub to a public house and sheepfold before its eventual demolition in the early 20th century.

The origins of Andělka trace back to the 16th century when vineyards occupied the land that would later become the estate. By the 17th century, it had developed into a farmstead. In the early 18th century, the site was known as "Schölhornova zahrada." The estate faced destruction during the siege of Prague by French and Prussian forces between 1742-1744 when one battery of the invading army was stationed there. Following this devastation, Gabriel Strahovský opat oversaw its reconstruction. In 1756, he established a chapel dedicated to the Holy Angels, which subsequently gave the estate its name.

Architecturally, Andělka featured a farmstead built on an "L"-shaped plan, enclosed by a stone wall from 1810. The chapel of the Holy Angels was one of its notable elements until it was replaced in 1811 with a newly arranged room within the estate. By 1810, the site became part of Prague's fortifications, incorporating two redoubts connected by a covered communication path, reflecting its strategic importance during European conflicts.

Ownership and administration of Andělka evolved over time. Initially under Strahov Monastery, it was managed by Gabriel Strahovský opat post-1744. The estate served as a local church for St. John of Nepomuk until the 19th century when its role shifted due to the distance from the main church in Šárka. In 1921, Družstvo pro stavbu sokolovny acquired the land, leading to significant changes.

Key events at Andělka include its destruction during the siege of Prague and its integration into the city's fortifications in 1810. By 1921, parts of the estate were demolished to make way for a new Sokol hall, marking the end of its historical presence as an estate. The site's transformation from a religious and agricultural center to a public house and sheepfold reflects broader changes in its use over time.

Today, Andělka no longer exists as it once did; much of the original structure was demolished in the early 20th century. However, remnants such as some shield walls and later additions remain, offering a glimpse into its past.
