< p > Matěj Rejsek (probably 1450, 1445, 1449 (?), Prostějov - 1 July 1506, Kutná Hora) (also Matyáš Rejsek according to the signature & quot; Matthias Raysek de Prostieyov Baccalareus Pragensis & quot;) was a Czech builder, sculptor, stonemason, member of the stone guild, originally graduate of the university studies of the Faculty of Arts, Bachelor and Administrator (Rector) of the Týnská school in the Old Town of Prague. Rejsko's work ranks alongside two famous cathedral architects, Frenchman Matyas of Arras and German Petr Parlér, and contemporaries, (originally German) architects Hans Spiess and Benedict Rejt, who have created a new form of Prague Castle. < / p > < p > Rejsko's origin is not yet solved, more likely comes from the town of Prostějov near Chrudim than from the Moravian city of Prostějova. Its origin cannot be shown as nationalistic as the topographical literature did after 1918 (mostly the Prague travel guide). < / p >
